Why SELF.?

20% of employees who quit a new job, do so in the first 45 days of onboarding due to factors such as lack of expectations set during the hiring process, employee needs aren’t met, disorganization and more…

12% of employees on average agree that their organization had a good onboarding process.

54 is the average number of onboarding tasks that are given to new hires to complete. Which contributes to cognitive overload.

Businesses with a smooth onboarding process boost their employee retention rates by 52%

The results?

In contemporary workplaces, the onboarding process plays a pivotal role in shaping employee productivity and engagement. However, the traditional onboarding methods often result in cognitive overload for new hires, hindering their ability to seamlessly integrate into their new role.

This cognitive overload stems from the inundation of information, disjointed communication, and a lack of personalized guidance during the onboarding phase.

There is a need to create an efficient and effective onboarding system that alleviates cognitive overload, enabling new employees to quickly grasp essential information, acclimate to their roles, and become productive contributors to the organization.

Problem Statement

Many new hires experience cognitive overload during the onboarding process, resulting in decreased productivity, dissatisfaction, and potentially higher turnover rates. Existing solutions fail to adequately address this issue, which builds the need for an app that streamlines onboarding, reduces cognitive load, and promotes a conducive environment for new employees to transition into their roles confidently and effectively.
